David Beckham gushes over 'star' wife Victoria amid new project

David Beckham just revealed how he convinced his wife, Victoria Beckham for a new project.

After their Netflix documentary garnered huge success, the 49-year-old celebrity sportsman is now working on another documentary that would reflect on the decades long career of the fashion mogul herself.

David stated that initially “it wasn't the easiest thing to get her to agree to” but did not miss the chance to serenade his “unbelievably hard working and very clever” wife.

As he spoke to hosts Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, on Today, he addressed the project for the first time, saying, “It wasn't the easiest thing to get her to agree to, but in my opinion she was the star of mine.”

“So, I just thought this is the opportunity, because she's been working on our brand for the last 18 years, and she's unbelievably hard working, and no one gets to see that,” David added.

He continued, “So, I convinced her to actually let people see what she does every day and what goes into her business. She's a very clever and hard-working lady, so I want people to see that.”

David also used this opportunity to speak about his and Victoria’s memorable dance moment to Islands In The Stream in his Emmy-winning documentary.

He mentioned, “This moment just happened we were in the tent all day and then all of a sudden I thought, you know, mum and dad should dance, the kids get embarrassed.”

“And this just happened last second, and we just jumped up, and you could see all the kids were embarrassed, but at that point the song meant something to us, and we just danced and it was just us at the end of the day,” David Beckham further recalled of the viral moment with his wife, Victoria Beckham.
