Hoda Kotb’s decision to leave the Today show is reportedly going to serve her in the long term.
Elaborating on these claims, a source told Us Weekly, "She’s going to earn way more than she did at the 'Today' show.”
"Now that she’s not full-time at NBC, Hoda’s going to be working with brands and can be paid to endorse them,” they also addressed.
The insider went on to mention, "She also could make several hundred thousand dollars for speaking engagements on subjects like, ‘changing your life at 60.'"
For those unversed, the 60-year-old TV star recently stepped down from her role as the co-host of the NBC morning show after 17 years on 10th January 2025.
It is pertinent to note that Hoda's decision to leave Today was driven by her desire to become more available for her kids.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, she shared, "I've had yearnings, and you know when something's pulling you? It's like you either go toward it or you shove it down and say, 'Nope, this is the way. I'm going to stay here because it's safe.'"
"It does make more sense to stay at NBC. I'm financially secure and I would have job security. I mean, why would you ever not do that? But I've been watching my kids and I was thinking to myself, I wonder what I'm missing?" Kotb added.
