Scheana Shay, an American TV personality, has announced that she will be releasing a memoir called My Good Side.
Set to be released on 22 July, it will follow her life “literally before birth” to "as recent as a month ago.”
Taking to her Instagram to share the news, she wrote, "This is something I've literally wanted to do my entire life — like, it has always been a dream of mine. I loved English class and journalism and all of that in school. I used to write for the school newspaper, and I was like, one day, I'm going to write a book."
She had initially considered releasing the book after the end of the reality show Vanderpump Rules, "not that it's necessarily a tell-all”.
However, when she was about to meet with agents, the show had gotten renewed for its 12th season "and now I have a book."
When asked if she was nervous about someone in particular reading the memoir, Shay responded, "Because, I mean, I do talk about everyone and everything. And it's really just all sides of me. The good, the bad, things that you've seen on the show with more explanation. And it's not me trying to be like, 'I want everyone to love me after this book.' I would like to be more understood."
She concluded that the book will show her in her “most raw, vulnerable state”, adding that it will show how good it is "to put yourself all the way out there”.
