King Charles and Prince William made a united appearance to commemorate a significant moment in British history.

On Friday, the King and his son the Prince of Wales marked the 300th anniversary of the Order of the Bath.

Taking to Instagram the official handles of the Prince of Princess of Wales and the royal family shared glimpse from the ceremony.

The statement shared in caption read, "Celebrating the 300th anniversary of Order of the Bath. For three centuries, the order has recognised exceptional military and civil achievements across the UK and the Commonwealth."

"The Prince of Wales was installed as Great Master of the order and five new Knights Grand Cross took their oaths during the event at Westminster Abbey."

"The order was established by George I in 1725, though its origins go back to medieval times when part of the ceremony of knighthood included a ritual bath symbolic of spiritual purification," it read further.

It is worth mentioning that King Charles as the Prince of Wales was previously installed as Great Master by his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth in 1975.
