Joe Jonas gets honest about dating after Sophie Turner divorce

Joe Jonas has some hard comments on dating after a divorce.

In a recent chat on TalkShopLive stream, the singer opened up about the mixed feelings he felt after diving into dating after his divorce.

As Jonas is all set to release his upcoming solo album Music for People Who Believe in Love, he shared that his new song Only Love, its title was inspired by a comment made by someone he was dating.

“I was seeing somebody at the time and I was kind of having this idea of dating again. It was really scary and intimidating,” he remarked.

The Heart by Heart singer went on to say, “Love takes different shapes and forms and I was re-discovering what that was."

He revealed that when he raised his romantic concern with the unnamed person, it was “comically” pushed aside by saying, “Well, it’s only love."

This remark inspired the title of the song.

“I was like, ‘Well, when you put it that way…’ So we wrote a song about it,” he added. “Like, it was not a big deal, but it was a big deal to me, and a big deal to them, too. But it’s okay to take a leap of faith and just try again and put yourself out there.”

It is pertinent to mention that Jonas was married to actress Sophie Turner but parted ways after four years of marriage in 2023.

The former couple welcomed daughters Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2.

 Jonas briefly dated model Stormi Bree after he finalized divorce with Turner, but split in June 2024.
