Sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning are thriving in Hollywood and backing each other all the way.

Dakota and Elle have been making joint red carpet appearances and seem tighter than ever as they navigate fame.

“They both say all the time how they’re each other’s best friend,” a mole told Life & Style.

“They talk constantly, even when they’re working on opposite sides of the world, they are in touch non-stop. When Elle’s on set, Dakota’s the one she FaceTime’s when she’s having a rough day, and vice versa,” the tipsters shared.

“They have a rule that no matter what, they never go more than two days without checking in, but they usually don’t even go that long,” they added.

This comes as Elle celebrates the success of her new project, Sentimental Value, where she plays Rachel Kemp, a young actress who gets an important role in a famous filmmaker’s movie. The Great stars film got a 15-minute standing ovation during the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival.

More success is likely in store for Elle as fans have been hailing her casting as the younger Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

Meanwhile, Dakota was recently seen in The Perfect Couple and The Watchers in 2024.

As for whether the duo is planning to make a project together, Elle said, “We have plans for sure.”

Dakota and Elle Fanning have once costarred in a film before. They played younger and older versions of Lucy in the 2001 I Am Sam.
