Dolly Parton turned down Kate Middleton's offer for tea in 2023 due to scheduling conflicts.
But the singer has now expressed desire to have tea with the wife of Prince William during her upcoming visit to the UK.
During an interview with Huffington Post, the 79-year-old singer revealed that she would be meeting Queen Camilla in October.
According to a report, the singer share with Queen Camilla an interest in children's literacy.
"In fact, I’m going to go to England in October, and I’m going to actually, hopefully, get to have tea with The Queen."
Referring to Kate's offer for tea, the singer said, "I don’t know if that offer still stands, but if she wants me and I’m there, I’ll be right there with tea bag in hand,” said the singer.
Dolly Parton seemed undeterred about the possibility of Kate refusing to have tea with the singer to settle scores with her.
She said she is willing to host to host Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis along with their children at Dollywood if she doesn't get the opportunity to have tea with Princess Catherine during her upcoming visit to the UK.
Parton said, "They’re all invited. We would love to have them at Dollywood, and if they decide their schedule ever permits that, well, then we will go all out to try to make it a royal treat for them."
