Jennifer Lopez opens up about dating life after controversial performance

Jennifer Lopez has broken her silence about her dating life following a buzz-worthy performance at the 2025 American Music Awards. 

According to Daily Mail, she stunned audiences by kissing both a female and male backup dancer during her high-energy opening number.

Moreover, the 55-year-old singer and actress, who also hosted the star-studded ceremony at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas, addressed her current relationship status in a lighthearted interview with Access Hollywood after the event. 

While responding to comedian Tiffany Haddish’s suggestion that they go “manhunting” together, Lopez laughed off the idea, saying, “Girl, I’m not looking for no man. I’m happy right now. I’m not trying to ruin it.”

As per the publication, the remarks come just months after Lopez finalized her divorce from actor Ben Affleck in January, ending their marriage after two years. 

Her unexpected onstage kisses sparked a wave of reactions online, with some fans calling the moment “cringe” and “desperate.”

However, sources close to Lopez revealed the performance was a carefully planned part of her post-divorce public reinvention. 

An insider told the outlet, “She followed the direction of her PR team and did exactly what was asked for her comeback. She is living her best life and has zero f***s to give right now.”

It is worth mentioning that Lopez is gearing up for a Las Vegas residency titled Up All Night Live at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, beginning December 30, and will headline the WorldPride Music Festival in Washington, D.C., this June alongside Troye Sivan.

In this regard, she told People magazine, “This summer feels like a celebration of being free and happy. I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time.”
