Ryan Reynolds shares views on new 'Deadpool' VR actor

Neil Patrick Harris has voiced Deadpool in the upcoming virtual reality game. But Ryan Reynolds has jokingly poked fun at him for that.

In his usual witty way, he shared a clip on social media, donning the 51-year-old’s character in Doogie Howser, a sitcom in the 1980s where he played a teenage doctor.

"Today I learned a lesson about buttholes they don't teach you in medical school," he said in an 85-second clip. "People who steal your signature role are the biggest buttholes of all."

To make the parody funnier, Ryan included Robyn Lively, his sister-in-law and Neil’s on-screen love interest in the show, playing Michele.

Meanwhile, Deadpool’s virtual reality game will be released in late 2025. It was announced at Summer Game Fest. There, Twisted Pixel lead design manager Phil Therien gave an insight into how they wanted to provide the Deadpool experience to the players.

"It's really all about being the cool, all-encompassing Deadpool experience," he said. "He has the weapons, he's got the wit, the humor, and his own trademark way to solve problems."

"We've got all that throughout our game, so really, we've been kind of bottled up like what it is like to be Deadpool in VR," Phil concluded.
