King Charles has praised Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh after his latest royal move.

Edward, the brother of King Charles, returned to the UK after concluding his Canada tour a few days ago.

The official Instagram handle of the royal family posted a carousel of photos from Prince Edward’s visit and praised the Duke of Edinburgh for performing a royal duty.

The statement read, “The Duke of Edinburgh has been in Canada!”

“In Prince Edward Island, HRH celebrated the 150th anniversary of the PEI Regiment, where he serves as Colonel-in-Chief, and joined a Freedom of the City parade in Charlottetown,” it further stated. “The Duke also met with the Abegweit First Nation, took part in an education forum for The Duke of Edinburgh’s @International_Award, and connected with a range of youth organisations.”

The statement continued, “In Toronto, HRH celebrated Canada’s military and police services, with visits to the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, HMCS York, CFB Trenton, and the Toronto Police Marine Unit and Emergency Task Force.”

“Finally, in Ottawa, HRH joined Canada Day celebrations and, as Honorary Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, visited the Musical Ride stables,” it concluded.

Prince Edward concluded his Canada trip by celebrating Canada Day as Honorary Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Notably, Edward’s Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, who is also performing her solo royal duties with her most recent visit to the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.

Next week, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, will mark a royal visit in the Balkans solo.
