Jack Osbourne and his four children took part in a moving tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, less than two months after the Black Sabbath legend’s death at 76.
The London-born TV personality appeared in a video segment alongside his children, Pearl Clementine, Andy Rose, Minnie Theodora, and Maple as the awards show honored the “Prince of Darkness.”
Jack shares his three eldest daughters with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and his youngest with wife Aree Gearhart.
In the clip, Jack reflected on his father’s enduring impact on rock music.
He said, “I know for sure it would make him incredibly happy to see these great musicians carry on his legacy and help inspire the next generation of rockers. We love you, dad.”
Moreover, his children added, echoing their grandfather’s spirit, “In the words of our papa, ‘Let’s go crazy!’”
The tribute featured an all-star medley of Ozzy’s biggest hits, including Crazy Train, Changes, and Mama, I’m Coming Home, performed by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Nuno Bettencourt, and YUNGBLUD.
The set concluded with the rallying cry, “Ozzy forever, man!”
According to Daily Mail, the tribute carried added meaning for MTV, which helped bring the Osbourne family into the spotlight with its early-2000s reality series The Osbournes.
Furthermore, the night also saw Ariana Grande win Video of the Year for Brighter Days Ahead, while Lady Gaga earned Artist of the Year and shared Best Collaboration with Bruno Mars for Die With a Smile.
Other big winners included Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé, and Alex Warren.
