Tom Hiddleston has spoken about the plot twist that left everyone shocked after the premiere of third episode of The Night Manager season 2.

Created by David Farr, the crime thriller features the Loki actor alongside Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander and Elizabeth Debicki.

The first episode of The Night Manager season 2 showed Richard Roper, played by Hugh, had been executed, with Jonathan Pine identifying his corpse.

The third and latest episode left everyone stunned as the plot twist revealed that Roper is still alive.

In his recent appearance on The One Show, Hiddleston spoke about the plot twist and teased what’s coming up next in the show.

The 44-year-old explained that the bitterness between Pine and Roper is the backbone of the series.

According to Tom, Richard has been described as the worst man in the world by book’s author John LeCarre, but the character is played by the most charming man in the world.

"He's elite, privileged, the recipient of all the freedoms of British democracy and still does something very cynical, but he's played by the most charming man in the world.”

The Marvel actor opened that the audience will now witness the two confront each other again.

He explained, "They are a mirror of each other. They seduce each other, they confront each other, they tease each other. They define themselves in opposition to each other.”

The Night Manager season 2 episode 4 is set to release on Sunday, January 18.
