Scott Adams 'predicted' his demise a day before his death

Cartoonist Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic strip, passed away following a battle with cancer at age 68

His ex-wife Shelly Miles confirmed the news during a livestream of the Real Coffee with Scott Adams show on Tuesday, January 13 — just two weeks after Adams shared on his podcast that his health had worsened. He had initially revealed over the summer that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer that had unfortunately spread to his bones.

According to Miles, Adams knew his death was coming, and he even left behind a “final message” which he wrote on New Year’s Day.

“If you are reading this, things did not go well for me. I have a few things to say before I go. My body failed before my brain,” Miles read the open letter. “If you wonder about any of my choices for my estate or anything else, please know I’m free of any crazen or any inappropriate influence of any sort, I promise.”

A self-described non-believer, Adams also declared in his final message that he was dedicating his life to Jesus.

“I accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior and look forward to spending an eternity with him. The part about me not being a believer should be quickly resolved if I wake up in heaven. I won’t need any more convincing than that. I hope I’m still qualified for entry.”

Miles revealed that she had spoken to Adams just a day before his death, revealing that he “predicted” his death. “He knew it was a different feeling than how he had been feeling before,” she revealed.
