Gracie Abrams steers career into a new direction amid album buzz

Gracie Abrams has embarked on a new journey as a filmstar after her success as a pop superstar.

The 26-year-old singer is about to appear in Babygirl director Halina Rejin’s new movie, Please, for A24.

The That’s So True hitmaker’s role in the movie is currently undisclosed, but reports reveal that Rejin will be writing and directing the project.

Abrams’ debut will mark Rejin’s third project with A24, after her Bodies Bodies Bodies in 2022, and Babygirl starring Nicole Kidman in 2024.

The Grammy winner’s movie announcement comes amid excitement for her third studio album, after she teased her new project in a recent interview.

Abrams shared that her album currently in the works is her favourite thing she has ever worked on, and involves collaborations with many of her talented musician friends.

The feels like this songstress earned global popularity after the success of her album, The Secret of Us, the promotional tour for the album, as well as her opening stints for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
