Jin has finally followed fellow BTS member Jungkook on Instagram, sending fans into a frenzy after a slew of hilarious speculation.

Earlier this week, the 28-year-old singer returned to his social media account with a new dance video amid the newly released BTS’ latest album, ARIRANG, buzz.

However, it was the Worldwide Handsome’s long-awaited social media move that stole the spotlight. Fans quickly noticed the update, flooding the comments section with reactions and celebratory remarks.

“Finally Jin follows Jungkook,” one fan wrote, while another joked, “Finally baby Jin hyung is following you.” 

A third quipped, “He definitely followed himself on Jin’s phone,” referencing one of the many viral fan theories.

A quick look at the eldest members of the septet’s following list now confirms that he is indeed following the youngest members of the band, putting an end to the long-running debate.

For the unversed, BTS members launched their individual Instagram accounts in late 2021 and initially followed each other.

Over time, some of them adjusted their following lists, but most have maintained mutual connections.

Jin’s apparent decision not to follow Kookie for a long period had become an ongoing joke within the fandom.

BTS ARMY turned the situation into pure comedy, coming up with a series of playful and unserious theories.

Some fans joked that Jungkook was “on probation,” with Seokjinnie waiting to see if he would stay active before following him back.

Others imagined that the Golden Maknae had simply taken matters into his own hands, “hijacking” Jin’s phone to follow himself.

Another popular theory suggested that the 33-year-old just wasn’t paying attention, while some fans even speculated about a secret bet or deal between the two.
