President of All Pakistan Anjuman Tajiran Ajmal Baloch stated in his petition that PTI’s protest should not cause harm to business activities and civic life in the city. Therefore, PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) supporters should be provided a space outside the vicinity of the federal capital.
In the petition, Imran Khan, PAT chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri, Interior Ministry and Islamabad district administration have been made party in the case.
The petitioner’s lawyer Ikran Chaudhry pleaded the court to hear the case today, however, the registrar office referred the matter of constituting the bench to Chief Justice of IHC Anwar Kasi.
It may be mentioned that a petition filed by Abdullah Tahir Advocate in the IHC has already challenged the protest in Islamabad.
On Monday, Lahore High Court (LHC) issued notices to Imran Khan, Dr Qadri, PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Husain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Awami Muslim League’s Sheikh Rasheed and others on a petition challenging PTI’s long march.
