Billie Eilish reveals blonde hair debut sparked identity crisis

Billie Eilish just got candid about her beauty looks and how she channeled change through them.

In an exclusive conversation with Rolling Stone the Grammy-winning artist revealed how her iconic blonde hair sparked an identity crisis for Eilish.

Referring to the look she sported at the 2021 Met Gala, the Ocean Eyes singer told the outlet, “And then I dyed my hair blond and I immediately was like, ‘Oh, I have no idea who I am.’”

The rather glamorous look that Eilish carried at the event, depicted a softer feel with respect to her sophomore album Happier Than Ever, which was released on July 30, 2021.

However, ultimately, the artist realized that it was too much of a departure from Eilish’s true self.

Her brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, who was a part of the joint interview, stated, “In a weird way, that was a little like being in a tornado cellar, reading a cute little story.”

“It was a coping mechanism of an album,” he added.

Billie Eilish took to her official Instagram account back in March 2021, to upload a video, revealing the first look at her new icy blonde locks, a post that immediately went viral all over social media.
