Nicole Kidman was honoured with the 49th American Film Institute Life Achievement Award on Saturday, making history as the first Australian artist to receive this award.

Kidman was supported by her husband, Keith Urban, and their teenage daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret at the prestigious.

At the event, while talking to PEOPLE the Bombshell actress expressed her excitement of having her daughters with her, stating, "They are here to support me, and they're very, very supportive and incredibly loving."

She also mentioned a special celebration planned for the later that evening at their house that excites her daughters the most.

"We're going to do a post wrap-up at the house late, late tonight, There's a party afterwards, and they're like, 'Oh, there's a party?' That's what they're excited about," Kidman revealed.

Moreover, Kidman also revealed that her whole family including extended relatives flew in from the Australia to celebrate the Bewitched actress' achievement.

As compared to other events where you only get one extra ticket, Kidman expressed joy of having her family around, stating, "It's beautiful to have a family to be able to go and want to share this with you, because you don't get to do that. A lot of the times, if you get invited to the Academy Awards, you get one ticket extra. So the idea of being able to have your family come to something like this is really exciting."
