Madelaine Petsch reflects on ‘stages of grief’ over ‘Riverdale’ conclusion

Madelaine Petsch revealed true sentiments over the ending of the long-running show Riverdale during a latest appearance.

The actress, who rose to fame through her portrayal of Cheryl Blossom in the Archie comics adapted series for 7 seasons, has now expressed grief over the show's ending.

“You go through all the stages of grief saying goodbye to a chapter in my entire twenties”, said the Washington native during an appearance onThe Drew Barrymore Show.

However, she expressed contentment with the show’s finale as she noted, “I think we definitely all feel that the show went as long as it was supposed to. There's no part of me that feels like I should have played this character for longer or it should have gone for longer, which is wonderful".

Regardless, “It is the family”, the 29-year-old mentioned that she would cherish the most before adding, “We had the same crew for seven years and the same people touching my face every day in Vancouver in the same apartment for seven years, and that's been tough”.

Even so, the Sightless star gleefully shared that she's still in touch with her co-stars and best friends, Lili Reinhart who portrayed Betty Copper in the series and Camila Mendes who played Veronica Lodge.

"I still have that sense of community," she asserted. "It's just change. It's growing, it's how life works. You just kind of evolve”, she conveyed to an applauding audience.
