Taylor Swift continues to dominate music!

As per the UK music consumption and recorded music revenues that have been generated, it was seen that after figures soared to a 20-year high in 2024, pop star Taylor Swift and singer-songwriter Noah Kahan were seen to have been leading the “banner year.”

According to the annual figures that were unveiled by ERA, a digital entertainment and retail association, Swift’s Grammy-nominated and eleventh studio album The Tortured Poets Department was the biggest-selling of the year, selling 783,820 albums, that includes 111,937 copies on vinyl.

Meanwhile, Kahan’s wildly popular Stick Season was able to garner an equivalent of 1.99 million sales of his album.

ERA chief executive, Kim Bayley stated that, “2024 was a banner year for music, with streaming and vinyl taking the sector to all-time-high records in both value and volume.”

“This is the stunning culmination of music's comeback which has seen sales more than double since their low point in 2013. We can now say definitively – music is back,” the executive added.

In other perspectives of success, Taylor Swift has the biggest-selling record of the year as per the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) with The Weeknd’s 2021 compilation album, The Highlights, landing second in place.
