Montag opened up about the frantic moments when she and her family evacuated the Los Angeles wildfires that destroyed their Pacific Palisades home.

While speaking to Us Weekly on Wednesday, the American TV personalitydetailed what she packed during the rush to flee, prioritizing her children’s belongings while leaving behind cherished items.

Moreover, Montag said, “I didn’t know what to do. Nothing could have prepared me for that. I started just packing things that made sense—I wasn’t thinking about anything else.”

According to Daily Mail, the Hills alum, who shares two sons, Gunner and Ryker with her husband Spencer Pratt, recalled grabbing teddy bears, important documents, and even a keepsake tooth from the tooth fairy.

However, many sentimental items, including photo albums and a pair of Golden Goose shoes, a Christmas gift she had been convinced to buy for herself, were left behind.

In regards to this, Montag also revealed that her son Gunner was sick with a high fever during the evacuation, which added to the chaos, “I thought I’d be back for them. But it hit me at the end of packing that I might not come back.”

Additionally, Montag and Pratt emphasized that while they lost personal belongings, the loss of their community weighs heavier.

In regards to this, The Bling Ring star shared, “I miss our friends. I miss our daily life. I miss dropping my son off at school there. It’s not just our loss—it’s the loss of our city, a community that we were such an active part of.”

Furthermore, Pratt’s sister confirmed the family’s loss on Instagram after the wildfires erupted on January 7, devastating neighborhoods across Los Angeles.

It is worth mentioning that Montag said, “You miss waking up in your bed, the smells of your house, the daily routine with your children. It’s so hard.”
