Prince Harry to be deprived of his recent income by US govt

Prince Harry is expected to lose a huge amount of money in legal fees and taxes which he will have to pay in the United States.

The Duke of Sussex is due to receive millions of dollars in damages as part of a settlement deal with NGN newspaper group.

According to GB News, after Harry' pays his legal fees, he will have to pay tax on the remaining money in the US as the UK does not tax legal damages.

"As a US resident, Harry has to pay tax on his worldwide income unless it's been taxed in Britain," GB News reported citing unnamed sources.

The sources said,  "And here's the sting in the tail: legal damages are not taxed in the UK."

Prince Harry claimed a victory over Rupert Murdoch's UK newspaper group on Wednesday after the publisher settled his lawsuit, admitting unlawful actions at its Sun tabloid for the first time and paying substantial damages.

Harry, the younger son of King Charles, had been suing News Group Newspapers (NGN), publisher of The Sun and the now-defunct News of the World, at the High Court in London, alleging the papers had illegally obtained private information about him from 1996 till 2011.
