King Charles preaches unity after Prince Harry goes public with family feud

King Charles has talked about unity just days after Prince Harry’s shocking remarks.

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, the members of the royal family kicked off the week’s events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe, which put an end to World War II.

A Buckingham palace representative shared, “They will unite with the rest of the nation and those across the Commonwealth and wider world in celebrating, commemorating and giving thanks to the wartime generation whose selfless devotion, duty and service should stand as an enduring example to us all - and must never be forgotten.”

Notably, the BBC reported that the palace hopes “nothing will detract or distract from celebrating with full cheer and proud hearts that precious victory and those brave souls, on this most special and poignant of anniversaries.”

It is worth mentioning that this comes just days after Prince Harry’s BBC interview.

In the interview, the Duke of Sussex made shocking claims including expressing his desire to reconcile with the royal family.

Harry also admitted that his father, King Charles “won’t speak to me due to security stuff.” However, he said that he doesn’t want to “fight anymore” adding “Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has.”

These remarks by Prince Harry sparked outrage with experts criticizing the Duke of Sussex for raising concern about King Charles’ health.
