Robert Irwin is getting candid about his family's unfiltered reaction to his racy underwear campaign.

In his Monday appearance on the Today show, the conversationalist, 21, reflected on his family's words for his photoshoot for Australian underwear brand Bonds.

"They were like, ‘Wow, there’s some things we can’t unsee,'" joked the TV personality, who is the son of late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin.

Irwin also reflected on how he felt about the collaboration with Bonds. "Bonds, who’s our massive, iconic underwear company in Australia, they came to me and they said, ‘We want to do something that heroes Australian wildlife,'" he explained.

Irwin added, "I’ve dedicated my life to conservation, to carrying on an important legacy—protecting our animals. They said, ‘We want to showcase that, but you’re gonna be in your undies.’ And I said, ‘You know what, let’s do it. Life’s about just embracing it.'"

Irwin made the debut for Bonds on April 3, posing with snakes, lizards, and spiders for the "Made for Down Under" campaign.

Ahead of the campaign's launch, the former zookeeper shared with People Magazine that he had no hesitation about posing nearly naked. "It was a pretty immediate yes," he said with a laugh.

"I wish I could say I was very suave and cool about the whole thing, but I was like, 'Yes! Let's do it!' Because Bonds in Australia is an absolute icon," he continued.

Irwin added, "Also, I'm at this point in my life where I'm trying to do as many different and random exciting things, and if it's something that makes me a little bit nervous, that I've never done before and it's a bit of an adrenaline rush? That's what I want to be doing."

He also shared that getting in shape for the photoshoot wasn't too much of a challenge.

"I've got to stay pretty fit with all the crazy stuff I'm doing," he said. 'I'm saving crocodiles, I'm in and out of the Aussie bush every day and it's hard work, so you've got to keep pretty good upper body strength, good stamina."

However, he added, "I wanted to look my best and to feel my best and just feel really confident. And so I've done more sit-ups and had less carbs than I ever have in my life, but it's been fun."
