Lucy Dacus recently got candid and opened up about being an adopted child and her relationship with her birth mom, Pam.
The 30-year-old American singer-songwriter appeared on the After Dinner Thinks with Ann Wilson podcast along with Chappell Roan and talked about being adopted and meeting her birth mother at 19 with hosts Wilson and Criss Cian.
Calling to mind how “surprised” she got when Nancy Wilson invited her out to a Heart show via call, Dacus quipped, "I called Pam right the moment I hung up with Nancy, and I was like 'Can you get here tomorrow?' And she just got a flight.”
"We only met when I was 19 and we see each other one to three times a year," she shared, talking about her birth mother, Pam.
The Not Strong Enough singer went on to share that her mother, who raised her, was also adopted and said that she can meet her birth mother at the age of 18.
Before her meeting, Dacus was only allowed to ask questions she "really wanted to know."
"It was kind of this precious, doling out of information," she stated.
