Harvey Weinstein has a bad reputation among women in Hollywood circles because of his behaviour against them.
Another one, Patricia Clarkson, recalled her meeting with the disgraced Hollywood mogul.
In an interview with Business Insider, she said she had been a hot favourite for two films, The Station Agent and Pieces of April, in the Oscars race.
However, the Miramax boss wanted her to focus on the low-budget film starring Peter Dinklage.
The row started when the 73-year-old forced her to enter the Best Supporting Actress category despite the fact that she was one of the leads in the film.
"I hate when actors put themselves in false categories," she said. “When you are supporting, you should be truly a supporting player, and when you're the lead, you have to step up and go into a harder category."
"I was the lead in Station Agent, so I said, 'No, Harvey, I'm not going into supporting. So I went up against Harvey. And he told me I'd never work again," the 65-year-old remembered, claiming that “it got very ugly.”
In the end, Patricia lost to Cold Mountain star Renée Zellweger after receiving a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Pieces of April in 2004.
