Blake Lively is set to testify in the Justin Baldoni trial.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine, the 37-year-old actress’ attorney, Mike Gottlieb, confirmed that she will take a stand in the forthcoming trial involving her It Ends with Us director and costar Baldoni.
When the interviewer asked if Lively will testify, he replied by saying, "Yes. The ultimate moment for a plaintiff's story to be told is at trial. We expect that to be the case here [with Lively]. So we would, of course, expect her to be a witness at her trial. Of course she’s going to testify.”
People started speculating about the Gossip Girl star's role in the trial after her speech at the TIME100 Gala, where she hinted at the case, quipping that there was "so much to say about the last two years of my life."
However, as per her legal team, Lively will not be the only one who will come forward.
“There are individuals that were witnesses to or experienced misconduct that is relevant to Ms. Lively's claims. We expect their testimony, particularly about what took place on set, will come out through live witness testimony,” Gottlieb noted.
“In discovery, they'll have an opportunity to ask Ms. Lively questions. Likewise, we will have the opportunity to take the depositions of the defendants,” he added.
Gottlieb went on to share that other than witness accounts, the legal team ensures to use “evidence” as well.
Notably, along with testimony, the legal team is looking forward to presenting documents and statements from producers, Sony Pictures and other eyewitnesses.
It is pertinent to mention that the trial will begin in March 2026.
