Ryan Reynolds shares hilarious anecdote from 'Just Friends' set

Ryan Reynolds has just opened up about a prank that would have potentially put him in prison.

While appearing on Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast, he candidly discussed the prank that he had done on the set of Just Friends, which left him scared about the consequences.

"It’s one of my few times that I've ever been scared of going to jail, because we, just as a joke, me and the art department,” the Deadpool actor admitted.

The Hollywood actor starred in the romantic comedy movie alongside Anna Faris, Amy Smart, and Chris Klein.

In the movie, a famous music producer Chris Brander, played by Reynolds, tried to win over his high school crush and best friend Jamie Palamino, who rejected him nearly a decade ago.

Recalling when they were filming the movie in Regina, Saskatchewan, he continued, “We made a sign that would go over, it would snap over the 'Welcome to Regina' sign. And it just said, 'Welcome to Regina, which rhymes with fun.' And I got in trouble, though."

"You got in trouble?" the host asked.

Before concluding, the 48-year-old actor responded, "They thought it was funny because it snapped off. So at first it was vandalism, and then it was class."

Just Friends was released on November 23, 2005.
