Lizzo is opening up about her private relationship with her boyfriend Myke Wright

Sharing some rare insights into her three years of dating with Myke, the Cuz I Love You singer revealed where their sweet love story started.

“I had a friends-to-lovers trope,” she told Jake Shane on Therapuss podcast.

The Juice hitmaker went on to say, “We both worked on this TV show for MTV. I was the music girl, he was the comedy guy, and I was just like, ‘He’s my best friend.’”

Lizzo quickly sensed there was something unique about her bond with Myke, 35, eventually, he became one of her few “guy friends in the industry” she felt she could truly rely on.

Their friendship quickly built into a relationship and they started dating in 2021, keeping their bond out of the spotlight.

“I was like, ‘Wow I can really talk to him,’” she continued. “We had this crazy bond for years, and I do love that we were friends first. That means we can talk about anything.”

The couple made their red carpet debut one year later at her Amazon Prime reality series, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, in June 2022.
