Meghan Markle’s pivot to posting pictures of her two kids to social media has left an expert divided.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously kept Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three, completely out of the public eye. However, that changed with Meghan’s return to social media with her Instagram account.
The Duchess has since posted photos of her kids that don’t show their faces. This social media return came as Meghan launched multiple products this year, including her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, her brand As Ever, and her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
PR expert Rhea Freeman has shared her take on Meghan’s choice to cover the faces of her kids in their photos.
She told The Express: "Whether Meghan and Harry are doing this to help their children lead a more ’normal’ life and prevent people recognising them, whether it’s for safety, or whether it’s so the children can decide what level of exposure they want on social media when they’re old enough to understand.”
"There are numerous reasons why ’normal’ people hide their children’s faces, let alone people this high profile."
