Megan Hilty gets candid about unconventional wedding party

Megan Hilty took a trip down her memory lane recently, recalling her untraditional wedding party with Brian Gallagher.

The actress, 44, and her musician beau, 45, who married in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas in 2013, simply ditched a formal wedding reception.

Instead, the couple threw a very cosy pajama party, the actress shared with People Magazine at Tony Awards' "Meet the Nominees" event on May 8.

"Me and Brian Gallagher decided to kind of elope to Las Vegas. We didn't tell anybody but our immediate family, and so they were all there," Hilty recalled.

"We got married at the Venetian and, while we were getting married downstairs, they set up our reception in our suite and everybody changed into their pajamas. We had a pajama party for our reception."

Hilty shared that they took her wedding celebration on tour after she and Gallagher tied the knot in Las Vegas.

"We did a reception tour in Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York to celebrate with all our friends and family," she shares, adding, "Whatever happens in Vegas lasts forever."

Hilty and Gallagher later welcomed a daughter, Viola Philomena Gallagher, in 2014 and a son, Ronan Laine Gallagher, in 2017.

On the professional front, Hilty is currently Tony-nominated for her leading actress turn as Madeline Ashton in Broadway’s musical adaptation of the beloved 1992 dark comedy Death Becomes Her.
