Bono, U2 frontman, heaped praise for the Bob Geldof and shared how the latter opened doors for him.

According to a resurfaced report from Far Out Magazine, Bob Geldof served as a driving force behind significant charitable musical endeavors.

While many artists have engaged in philanthropic work, Geldof possessed a unique ability to articulate global issues in a way that resonated deeply with the public.

Reportedly, this clarity in communication is credited as a key factor in the success of initiatives like Do They Know It’s Christmas during his early charitable efforts.

Despite his own extensive fundraising throughout his career, U2 frontman Bono has openly acknowledged Geldof's profound impact on philanthropy.

In the resurfaced chat reported by the outlet Bono claimed that Geldof's approach "puts him to shame."

Bono explained, “The truth of it is that Bob Geldof opened the door and I walked through. He showed me, as an Irish person, that ideas get more authority the better they are described.”

“He was as gifted with words as any virtuoso offering their talents to the main stage. He is Miles Davis, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and that is just in conversation. His is a genius of vocabulary and communication,” he concluded.
