Why Queen Elizabeth II never fully understood Prince Harry

Queen Elizabeth II was deeply hurt by Prince Harry’s decision to leave.

The Duke of Sussex who decided to leave the UK back in 2020, disappointed his late Granny for turning his back on duty.

Her Majesty’s friend, Lady Elizabeth Anson told author Katie Nicholl: “I don’t think the Queen ever truly understood Harry’s decision to leave. Turning one’s back on duty is completely alien to the Queen and she has been left very hurt by it all.”

This comes as Meghan Markle recalled intense tensions with the Royal Family during her first pregnancy.

She told Oprah Winfrey back in 2021: “Concerns and conversations about how dark his [Archie’s] skin would be when he was born. People were concerned with how dark Archie’s skin would be.”
