Tom Cruise opened up about a biplane stunt from Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cruise discussed how he prepared for one of his most daring stunts yet.
The Mission: Impossible star recalled, "I remember seeing, like, Black and White footage of the very early days of Wingwalk, and I just thought, I'd love to do that."
He went on to reveal that along with director Christopher McQuarrie, he began training for the high-risk aerial sequence, learning to fly the aircraft himself and figuring out how to achieve zero gravity moments between the wings.
Speaking about his experience, Cruise said, "I didn't realize, like that amount of force of air, I can't breathe. So I had to figure out how you're taking the wind and you're breathing down here like this."
Notably, the behind-the-scenes footage played on the show also showed Cruise and the team testing complex maneuvers like rolls, loops, and hammerheads.
Tom Cruise told Jimmy Fallon, "Have you ever lifted a weight where you cannot, it's impossible to lift it again? That's what it's like after a couple of minutes on this wing, what we're doing."
It is worth mentioning that Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is scheduled to release in the UK on May 21, 2025.
