Sarah Silverman has finally opened up about how her brother Jeffrey died, who was just 3 months old at the time of his passing.

In a talk with Rolling Stone, the 54-year-old American comedian and actress reflected on her brother’s death, which happened before her birth.

Before sharing the details, which her father, Donald Silverman, told her after a show in 2022, Sarah told the interviewer, “I’m going to tell you a big bomb.”

The Wreck-It Ralph star recalled that her father Donald visited Manhattan to see her perform her autobiographical stage production Bedwetter in 2022.

The show also included a joke related to her brother’s passing but as the last show completed, her father made it to the backstage to speak with her.

For the unversed, Jeferry embraced death when his grandparents, Rose and Max, were babysitting him and Donald and his wife were on vacation.

Sarah said, “The story was that something happened with the crib, and Jeffrey’s little body slid and he got suffocated. But if you look back, there was never a lawsuit with the crib company or anything.”

Expressing her feelings, the I Smile Back alum stated that she always wondered why her family never sued the company that made the crib but during that night at the backstage, she finally got her answer.

Sarah remembered, “My dad says, ‘I always felt that he was crying or something, and my dad [Max] shook him. He shook him in a rage and killed him.’”

“As soon as he said it, it was like, ‘Of course, that’s what happened.’ His mother always stood by her husband. She watched him beat the shit out of her son. I couldn’t ask my mom, because she was dead,” she added, referring to her grandmother, Rose.
