In her long career, Nicole Kidman has been asked many questions. But never about one aspect of her motherhood.
So, in a chat with Allure, she was asked, "Do you like who you are as a mother?"
At first, the Oscar winner acknowledged she'd never been asked that question before.
Then, she responded, “I do, actually. Yeah," adding, "I'm very close to both my girls. I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I get to be their guide. If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can."
The Babygirl star further delved into detail about her relationship with her children, "I'm able to apologize to them. I'm able to stand up to them. I very much like the relationship we have. It's nice to be able to say that."
Elsewhere in the interview, Nicole, who recently lost her mother, reflected on her bond with her. "Losing my mother changed every part of me," she said.
The 57-year-old continued, I spoke to her every second or third day. And because she was on the other side of the world."
"If I woke up at 5:00 a.m., I'd get up, I'd walk around the block and I'd talk to her for an hour before the girls got up, before Keith got up. That was the rhythm of my day," she added.
In the meantime, Nicole is open up about the value of having a family. She has been married twice and shares four kids.
