Sarah Ferguson discusses 'meaningful change' after King Charles assigns major role to Princess Eugenie

Sarah Ferguson has broken her social media silence after King Charles handed her daughter Princess Eugenie a major new role.

Eugenie, King Charles niece, has become a mentor for The King’s Foundation charity's new 35 under 35 network of changemakers.

Taking to Instagram, Princess Eugenie and the King’s Foundation shared a video where the Princess spoke of her delight after being handed the key new role with a cause close to the monarch’s heart.

Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson also took to photo-video sharing app and said “Honoured to be at the historic @benjaminfranklinhouse in London with my dear friend @micksheldrick to discuss the power of innovation to drive meaningful change.”

Sarah’s post further reads, “Over 200 years ago, Benjamin Franklin showed the world how bold ideas, when combined with action and purpose, could transform society. Today, that same spirit lives on in the next generation of young innovators tackling global challenges with creativity, empathy, and determination.”

She continued, “As someone passionate about uplifting young people, I believe their ideas—when nurtured and supported—have the power to shape a better future for all.”

Sarah’s younger daughter said: "I’m delighted to be working with this group of exceptional young people who have been selected thanks to their outstanding work in areas the King is passionate about.

"Given I recently celebrated my 35th birthday, it’s fitting to take part in the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations and share my passion for art with the 35 under 35.”
