Kirsten Storms breaks silence on 'Days of Our Lives' star Drake Hogestyn's death

Kirsten Storms has opened up about the loss of her former Days of Our Lives co-star Drake Hogestyn.

While conversing with TV Insider, the 41-year-old American actress, who appeared with the late actor on Days of Our Lives from 1999 to 2004, expressed her feelings about Hogestyn’s death at the age of 70 in September 2024.

Storm shared, “I think because I hadn’t seen him in a while, I feel like it’s not real that he’s gone. He just was my favorite person there and a legend. So happy and always in a good mood. And prepared.”

The General Hospital star added, “He did his 100 percent best job always. I was really upset when I heard he had passed. But again, I don’t feel like that’s even set in for me, really.”

She went on to reveal that she got a chance to know the Generation star even more deeply when they were working on the long-running soap and when she dated his son, Ben Hogestyn.

“I dated Drake’s son, Ben [Hogestyn] for a couple of years, and I got to spend a lot of time with Drake and his family,” Storm recounted.

Before concluding, it is pertinent to mention that Drake Hogestyn, who played John Black on Days of Our Lives for 38 years, succumbed to pancreatic cancer.
