Prince Harry's ex girlfriend Chelsy Davy was reportedly worried about his 'party animal' days during their relationship.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl has made some shocking revelations in her book The Making of Royal Romance, sharing details about Harry and Chelsy's on-and-off romance.
She revealed one specific time in her book when the Duke of Sussex, a regular member at Boujis private club in London, was out with Natalie Pinkham "a pretty TV presenter" while Chelsy was at her home in South Africa.
"In December 2001, there were reports that Harry had sent her a thong for Christmas and that he 'fancied her rotten' despite the six-year age gap," Nicholl added.
She went on to write that at party at former equerry Mark Dyer's house, "Harry can be himself and, safe in the knowledge that what goes on inside those four walls stays there. The drink always flows freely, and good-looking girls are never in short supply."
"As the prince escorted her to his waiting Range Rover, Natalie, a little unsteady on her feet after eight hours of drinking, begged Harry for a kiss goodnight. 'Not here,' he said before whisking her back down the steps. They emerged seconds later, blissfully unaware that their late-night encounter had been captured by a long lens," Nicholl wrote. "When the story hit the newspapers the next day, there was an awkward long-distance call to Chelsy in South Africa."
Nicholl went on to reveal that Chelsy "told her friends in South Africa that she was in the relationship for the long term but was worried about her boyfriend's roving eye."
"Harry assured her that she was the one, and for the first time, Charles gave his seal of approval, allowing Harry and Chelsy to share a room at Highgrove," Nicholl wrote.
It is worth mentioning that Chelsy Davy ended their relationship in 2007, just a week after Prince Harry was pictured falling out with Natalie Pinkham.
While the Duke of Sussex claimed media scrutiny of his romance as the reason, Chelsy, whom he once referred to as "the one", reported to have struggled with intense media attention.
