Prince Harry is preparing to launch a new commercial venture in the coming months after he was dubbed “spare” to his wife Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex is set to return to the public eye as the Duchess of Sussex continues to grow her own business empire.
Meghan has been involved with a number of projects recently, including lifestyle series for Netflix titled With Love, Meghan, lifestyle brand titled As Ever, and a podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
However, Harry has maintained a lower profile. But it is not going to last as he is also now ready to pursue his own exciting projects.
Speaking with Mail on Sunday, a source revealed, "Harry is unkindly described as the 'spare' to Meghan's endeavours.”
They added, “In reality, he has been giving her the space to flourish. Now it is his time to throw himself into exciting new work.”
“Invictus will always come first, but he has also been working on commercial ideas of his own,” they added.
This comes after it was reported that Harry and Meghan have taken a huge step to regain control of their public image amid plummeting popularity.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have changed how their team works, giving each of them a chief of staff in a move that looks similar to the Royal family’s traditional setup, revealed an expert.
According to royal expert Charlotte Griffiths, the couple took this decision to create a stronger support system and protect them from negative press, especially from the British media.
She told GB News that Harry has been upset by low popularity ratings and believes his old Hollywood-style PR wasn’t working.
"So what he's done is he set up around himself the exact thing that he's been railing against all these years, which is a really concrete, firm structure of a hierarchical, top-down kind of PR voices on his behalf and chiefs of staff,” Griffiths said.
"And it's basically a royal house. This is like a faux royal household.
"With this new structure, they actually protect him from reading the British tabloids, so they basically read on his behalf the British tabloids.
“And the point of the new household is this kind of shield around them that protects them."
