Shakira called off another concert a day after canceling her show in Boston.
The 48-year-old singer's highly-anticipated show set for Saturday night at Washington, D.C.'s Nationals Park has been canceled due to "production issues."
The disappointing news was shared on the basketball stadium's social media accounts.
“Due to complications with the previous show in Boston, Shakira’s full tour production cannot be transported to Washington, D.C. in time for her scheduled performance at Nationals Park on Saturday, May 31,” the statement read.
“As a result, the D.C. show has been canceled. Despite every effort to make it happen, it is not possible to move forward as planned,” said in the statement.
Shakira also expressed her disappointment over the cancelation of the show in a statement posted on the Nationals Park website.
“Because of the unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances that affected me and other artists in Boston, my full tour production is not able to be moved to Washington, D.C. in time for my scheduled performance on Saturday,” the statement began.
The Waka Waka hitmaker further said, “I have been counting the days, excited to be reunited with my fans in both Washington and Boston, and my team and I have made every effort to make it happen, but it doesn’t depend on any one of us right now, and I am devastated that these shows were just not possible this time."
"I promise that I will do everything in my power to be with you as soon I can. Thank you for your support in these difficult circumstances," she added.
