Kate Hudson recalls Mindy Kaling's work commitment during labor

Kate Hudson is spreading the word about Mindy Kaling's untiring work ethics.

Hudson, 46, was attending an Emmy consideration event for their Netflix show Running Point on Friday when she took a moment to honour Kaling, co-creator and executive producer on the project.

“I have to say, I've fallen in love with this woman,” Hudson said of The Office star, who created Running Point with Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen.

“And she's just not only so brilliant but so trusting. She puts the best team together,” Hudson said at the event.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star then detailed one instance where a pregnant Kaling should have been away on the day she was giving birth.

“And she was pregnant,” she recalled. “We had a script, like our first table read. She's on Zoom. She then has the baby and is sending notes like an hour after she has the baby. I was like, ‘Isn’t Mindy literally in labor?’“

“She is a powerhouse and delivers what she says she's going to deliver,” Hudson continued of Kaling, who quietly welcomed her third baby in February 2024.
