Rod Stewart has his friends seemingly worried by his heavy drinking, but he laughs it off, calling it a "fun way to go."
Radar Online claimed that the 80-year-old Singer-songwriter has caused new health worries among his friends after another night of heavy drinking.
Sources shared with the outlet that Stewart had to be nearly carried out of a pub in Poland after drinking for five hours while enjoying a soccer match at Ronnie Drew's Irish Bar.
Giving the insights, the insiders said, "When he left, he had to be steered out by his minders and was stumbling a bit. The punters in the bar loved it and were cheering for him."
Notably, the Forever Young crooner's friends are worried for him because of his past health problems and his age, as he suffered from cancer from 2016 to 2020.
In addition, he and his son, Sean, got into trouble on New Year's Eve outside a fancy hotel in Palm Beach in 2019.
Per the same outlet, Police stated that the 44-year-old Sean roughly pushed a security guard while Stewart hit him in the chest "with a closed fist" after the poor guy stopped them at the entry.
One of his friends told the outlet, "He's still at it despite antics like that and things are so bad his family and friends have been talking about staging an intervention for him and getting him at-home help as going to rehab isn't suitable for him, especially at his age as he loves his home comforts."
"But they're scared he'll laugh it off and carry on drinking until it kills him. They know it is very hard to teach an old dog new tricks," the friend noted.
