Meghan Markle may be trying to rebuild “happier memories” to overcome the “painful” time she had during her pregnancies.

According to psychologist Stefan Walters, the Duchess of Sussex wants to feel happy thinking of her pregnancies and is using her podcast to do that.

In one of the episodes of Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan reflected on the past six years of raising Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a time she admits was filled with both joy and emotional struggle.

Speaking on the matter, Walters said he believed the podcast offers Meghan a second chance to process what was once a difficult period.

“There’s an element of getting a second chance here. Pregnancy was a difficult, painful time for them, and at times she seemed to be struggling,” he told The Mirror.

“It wasn’t necessarily associated with a lot of happy memories,” the expert added.

“So, now she’s perhaps feeling that she’s able to create and relive some happy memories around pregnancy and the early years of her children’s lives.”

Discussing her experience of motherhood, Meghan said, “People forget that Lili is three, and Archie is five.”

“So you look at the past five, six years of my life, it’s yes, with being pregnant or with a newborn or with a toddler, and then another one,” she added.

Meghan had similar remarks to share during an interview following her royal tour to South Africa when she was asked about how she had been after Archie’s birth.

“Any woman, especially when you’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, so that was made really challenging,” she said.

“So then when you have a newborn… especially as a woman, it’s a lot.”
