King Charles’ one and only regret in light has come to light, and it stems from his ongoing treatment of cancer.

Royal commentator Michael Coles shared this during his interview alongside MailOnline.

Reportedly the monarch is feeling this distance and “lack of closeness with his California grandchildren acutely” with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In large part its come due to his own lengthy separations from his own parents in his earlier years.

While its true that the King overall “looks as happy and as content as I have ever seen him' but he has something that eats at him.

According to the expert his “only regret is that he does not see Archie and Lilibet.”

Another thought is that the two “innocent young children” are growing up without getting any “real contact” with their grandfather and so he “would welcome the pleasure and comfort of seeing his grandchildren.”

Another thing is the ticking hands of time and his cancer because the monarch is “painfully aware that time is precious,” and hence “regrets that he cannot be closer to his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”

“It is not just the 5,000 miles between Clarence House and California that keeps the monarch at a distance from his youngest grandchildren.”

But “the antipathy between Prince Harry and his wife Meghan and the Royal Family has created a deep divide that makes normal family relationships so fraught as to be almost impossible.”

“And the tensions have only been increased by every harsh word written and cruel sentence uttered by the Harry and Meghan about his brother Prince William, sister-in-law Catherine and his stepmother Queen Camilla,” Mr Coles added before signing off too.
