Tom Felton is set to return to the Wizarding World!
The British actor, who is best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the popular Harry Potter films released from 2001 to 2011, is set to make his Broadway debut.
In the portrayal of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Tom would be reprising his role as Draco since in the eighth part, he is all grown up and even has his own son.
During his latest appearance on the Today Show, the 37-year-old expressed excitement over getting to play Draco again.
"It's very much a pinch-me kind of situation," Tom said on the show.
He continued, "I keep thinking I'm dreaming. I let go of that character 16 years ago, and now getting a chance to step back into his shoes - as a father this time, in a new story - I get to meet Draco as an adult, which is very exciting."
Tom then proceeded to confess that after he put on Draco’s platinum wig for the first time after more than a decade, he actually cried since the character had been "such a huge part of my childhood".
"I've been very excited to share this news, and I had to keep it under wraps for quite a while,” he further stated.
Additionally, the iconic actor shared a statement as well where he described being a part of the franchise as "one of the greatest honors of my life".
"Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I'll also be the exact age Draco is in the play,” Tom Felton further unveiled.
