Prince William held a crucial meeting at Windsor Castle before heading to Monaco, where he attended the Blue Economy and Finance Forum.
This has been disclosed by Buckingham Palace.
The officials said, “09 June 2025: Kensington Palace, The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall chaired a Meeting of The Prince's Council at Windsor Castle.”
Later, Kensington Palace shared photos of the Prince of Wales from Monaco.
Prince William says, “Honoured to attend the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco. A vital moment to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and regenerative marine economy.
“Inspiring to catch up with Earthshot Finalists working to ‘Revive our Oceans’. From restoring coral reefs to transforming seaweed farming and plastic pollution prevention.”
He went on saying, “The ocean sustains life, regulates our climate, and feeds billions, but it’s under threat. Solutions exist, and action is urgent. Grateful to stand alongside world leaders and changemakers, united in commitment to protect 30% of our ocean by 2030 and drive progress ahead of the UN Ocean Conference.”
In another post, Kensington Palace says the Forum, organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco, served as a powerful reminder that the ocean holds the key to a healthier planet.
It brings together business leaders, government representatives, multilateral institutions and stakeholders all committed to restoring the health of the oceans.
