Meghan Markle shatters records as she breaks royal rules

Meghan Markle is nearing another social media milestone, with the Duchess of Sussex set to reach four million followers on Instagram. 

This would be her fastest million since she hit her first million after returning to the platform in January. 

Understandably, her first million came quickly after a years-long absence, but her second and third millions took longer to accumulate as she focused on her business ventures.

However, thanks to her posts about her husband Prince Harry and their daughter, Lilibet, Meghan's follower count has surged. 

Her birthday tribute to Lilibet's brought in thousands of new followers, and her posts featuring photos and videos of her family have been well-received.

After hitting 3 million followers late last month, Meghan saw an exponential increase in her followers after sharing birthday tributes, including a post on behalf of Prince Harry and a nostalgic video from Lilibet's birth.

As of June 13, Meghan's follower count stands at 3.8 million, a significant jump from the start of Lilibet's birthday celebrations.

The old video from the maternity ward, which showed the couple dancing surprised many royal fans with its departure from royal traditions.
