Palace aides reveal reason behind Kate Middleton's Royal Ascot absence

Palace insider have revealed the real reason why Kate Middleton could not attend the Royal Procession at Ascot’s second day.

After the Princess of Wales’ absence from the event sparked concern, making many to speculate that the reason behind her skipping the event would be health related.

The Princess of Wales, who is gradually returning to public duties following her cancer diagnosis, had been expected to join Prince William at the event.

Palace insiders quickly cleared up any rumours, saying the situation was caused by a scheduling mix-up and was not a health problem, per GB News.

Insiders emphasized there is “no cause for alarm” and that Kate was "continuing to balance her return to public life.”

Queen Elizabeth’s former spokeswoman Ailsa Anderson also told People Magazine that Kate is “being sensible, listening to what her body is telling her and easing back into public life."

The publication revealed that the Kensington Palace has emphasized that Kate will resume her royal duties gradually and in her own time.

"She has not been able to have the privacy that a person who faces this kind of illness is normally afforded," a royal insider shared.
