Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released a joint statement amid fresh claims that the duke is set to offer an olive branch to his father King Charles and brother Prince William.
This has been disclosed by the Mail on Sunday, citing royal insiders.
The insider claims, “Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family.
“Invictus hopes the Royal Family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part. Harry is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans.”
Amid these claims, the royal couple, through their Archewell Foundation released a statement to mark the Social Media Harms Remembrance Day.
They say, “Today we mark Social Media Harms Remembrance Day. This day was designated in 2024 by a bipartisan resolution in the U.S. Senate to commemorate the lives of young people who have lost their lives due to online harm.
“The day was put forward by several members of The Parents’ Network – the families of Carson Bride, Alexander Neville, and Devin Norring, three young people who tragically lost their lives in connection to harm on social media platforms.”
The statement further read, “The Archewell Foundation recognizes the young people who have suffered harm on social media and commends the families and activists who are fighting for safer and more accountable online spaces.
“Today, families and activists gathered in Washington D.C. to honor the lives of 245 young people who have lost their lives. We are proud of the members of The Parents’ Network, who continue to come together as a community to support one another and ensure that no child is lost to social media.”
